Peterson Easter Party

Each year Grandma Dona hosts a big Easter party for all of the grandkids. It's always one of my favorite get-togethers. We hold it the Sunday before Easter, so everyone has more free time to spend with the family. We eat, play games and just enjoy each others company. This year Grandma made vegetable beef soup for lunch. Yum! Here's some pics from lunch:

Jessica and Scott

Sheleese and Kylee. (Sheleese and her husband are expecting their first baby in June!)

Olivia and her daddy, Brandon

Mitch

Later, Grandma put together an Easter Egg hunt. Because it had snowed the day before, we had the hunts inside (upstairs for the kids, and downstairs for the adults). The kids got all sorts of candy, toys and games. And the adults got things like flashlights, baking pans, candles and other goodies.

Mr. Broadie

I dont know if she is excited by this monster sucker or what?

Following tradition, we drug everyone outside for the big silly string fight

The silly string was making Devin gag. That made him an even bigger target. Haha!

McKenzie did NOT like the silly string!

The kids had a great time playing together. (McKenzie played great with Broadie, Mitch and especially Olivia. It's the first year she's been old enough to understand how to play with her 2nd cousins. Yay!) I wish I would have got pictures of her playing with the balloon with Broadie and playing follow the leader with Olivia. So cute!
What a fun afternoon! Thanks Grandma Dona!

I'm so sad we could't make it this year. It looks like you all had a great time! Thanks for posting the pictures...at least I can see all the recklessness. I heard even the redi-whip made it out into the silly string fight too. We miss you and the family even more than the craziness!
